Winter Devices Allowed on Lifts or Trails

For the safety of Hoedown Hill employees and guests while loading and riding lifts and while sliding down the
mountain, please refer to the following table for allowed equipment. Should you wish to have Hoedown Hill Guest Services review a device that is not addressed to be allowed as a reasonable accommodation for access, please
e-mail our Guest Services at billy@hoedownhill.com.

Pair of Skiis

SKIS

Skis must have metal edges. Brakes or retention device required.

TELEMARK SKIS

Skis must have metal edges. Brakes or retention device required.

Skimo Skis

SKIMO SKIS

Skis must have metal edges. Brakes or retention device required.

SNOWBOARD

Must have metal edges. Bindings must secure boots to board. Lift ridden with 1 foot buckled into binding. A retention device is required.

MONOSKI

Must have metal edges. Brakes or retention device required.

Skiblade snowblade

SNOWBLADES

Must have metal edges. Brakes or retention device required.

SnoGo

SKI BIKES

Must be designed to load and unload lift without slowing or stopping. Rider must be able to ride onto lift and ride off the lift. Device should be designed and loaded so safety bar can be lowered. Only 1 rider per bike. A leash designed to stop the device and prevent runaway devices must be worn at all times and be attached between the device and rider. Commercially available bikes only. No homemade conversions..

Snowskate

SNOWSKATE (BI-LEVEL)

Skateboard deck with trucks mounted on sliding ski. Must have metal edges. A leash designed to stop the device and prevent runaway devices must be worn at all times and be attached between the device and rider. Deck must be ridden off the lift. When riding, user must stand on deck.

SKI SKATES (ODR, SLED DOGS, SKI SKATES)

Must have metal edges. Protective cover must be worn indoors.

ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT DESIGNED FOR ADAPTIVE RIDERS MEETING ANSI STANDARDS FOR USE WITHIN THE SKI INDSUSTRY

Devices specifically designed to be utilized by adaptive riders that meets ANSI standards and are specifically recognized as adaptive device. Must have a center point balance system/attachment integrated for lift evacuation.

Not allowed on lifts or trails during operating hours. May be used for uphill access as outlined in the “Brundage Uphill Travel Policy”

Snow bikes are not allowed to have gears, chain, wheels, tires or a crank assembly

PLASTIC SKIS, SNOWBOARDS, & OTHER DEVICES

Skis, snowboards, and all other allowed devices must have metal edges. Cross country skis without metal edges are not allowed and not recommended for downhill skiing for those accessing the mountain via our “uphill access policy”

Plastic style attachment for shoes and boots. Not allowed even with metal edges. Designed for hiking trails and sledding hills.
